PM Imran inaugurates Azakhel Dry Port near Nowshera

Azakhel Dry Port would help promote business and trade activities in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

NOWSHERA (Dunya News) - Prime Minister Imran Khan has inaugurated the Azakhel Dry Port project in Nowshera District in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province today (Friday), Dunya News reported.

Azakhel Dry Port has been established eight kilometers away from Nowshera at the Grand Trunk (GT) Road with a cost of more than Rs 500 million that would help promote business and trade activities in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

Federal Minister for Railways Sheikh Rasheed Ahmed, Governor KP Shah Farman and KP Chief Minister Mahmood Khan also attended the inauguration ceremony of Azakhel Dry Port.

According to sources, Azakhel Dry Port will help in transfer of freight easily from Karachi Port of far flung areas of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. It would also help in transfer of freight via road to Afghanistan.
