Japan signs MoC to grant work permits to Pakistanis

The MoC was signed between Secretary of Ministry of Overseas Pakistanis and Japanese ambassador

ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – Pakistan and Japan on Monday signed a memorandum of cooperation (MoC) to enable Pakistani citizens to work in 14 new sectors in Japan and help them to overcome labor shortage of 0.3 million in next three years.

The MoC was signed between Secretary of Ministry of Overseas Pakistanis Amir Hassan and Japanese ambassador.

On this occasion PM’s special advisor for Overseas Pakistanis Zulfi Bukhari claimed that this MoC will open new doors of opportunities for Pakistanis as Japan needs skilled labor and 65% of Pakistan’s population is under the age of 35.

Japanese Ambassador said that MoC will also boost public relations. He also added that Japan also wants to promote tourism in Pakistan.
