LAHORE (Dunya News) – In important revelations made regarding the Punjab Institute of Cardiology (PIC) attack on Wednesday, sources told the media on Saturday that Punjab Chief Minister Usman Buzdar himself had to take notice and order police to resist the lawyers from storming into the cardiac health facility in Lahore.

Mr Buzdar, at that time, was in Islamabad, and when he saw the incident coverage by the media on TV, he immediately ordered the chief secretary and Punjab Inspector General (IG) Shoaib Dastgir.

Importantly, even after directives of the chief minister, Capital City Police Officer (CCPO) Lahore Zulfiqar Hameed had failed to arrive at the spot and Deputy Inspector General of Police (DIG) had arrived at the PIC after two hours.

Moreover, the Superintendent of Police (SP) Security also could not comprehend the seriousness of the issue and deployed less policemen to handle the situation.
