Rain turns weather chilly in parts of Punjab

LAHORE (Dunya News) – Incessant rain in parts of Punjab turned weather cold on Thursday and forcing people to wear additional warm cloths.

As per details, light drizzle was reported in Punjab’s different cities including Lahore, Faisalabad, Gujranwala and Pakpattan.

The temperatures dropped down in the city after the light rain. The commuters especially motorcyclists faced problems while going to their offices due to rain. A number of bikes reportedly slipped which resulted into injuries to the bikers.

The intermittent rain caused tripping of more than 160 Lesco feeders, plunging portion of the provincial capital in darkness.

Power outages affected various areas including Ravi Road, Badami Bagh, Misri Shah, Shadbagh, Gulshan-e-Ravi, Samanabad, Chauburji, Nawa Kot, Shahdara, Abbot Road and Shimla Pahari.

According to Lesco officials, the work to restore electricity will start soon after the rain stops and all teams have been put on high alert.
