ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – The Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) staff refused to allot bulkhead seats to women despite charging them extra money, Dunya News reported on Thursday.
According to details, an aged woman – Yasmin – was travelling from Manchester to Islamabad with her niece on PIA flight PK-701 and had paid additional 60 pounds for the bulkhead seats which provide extra legroom.
Both women registered their complaint on PM Citizen Portal and took the stance that Captain Anwar Zaidi and his crew harassed them and even threatened to offload them from the plane.
It was stated that passengers having reference were allotted the bulkhead seats meanwhile the woman continuously suffered from back pain during the journey.
On the other hand, PIA spokesperson Abdullah Hafeez Khan said the authorities are investigating into the matter. Action will be taken against the responsible persons if the lodged complaint is true as passengers are valuable assets for the PIA, he affirmed.
