A group of Sikh pilgrims from Canada reach Kartarpur by road
A bus carrying a group of Sikh pilgrims from Canada arrived at Darbar Sahib Kartarpur on Friday.
KARTARPUR (Dunya News) - A bus carrying a group of Sikh pilgrims from Canada arrived at Darbar Sahib Kartarpur on Friday to attend the celebrations of the 550th birth anniversary of the founder of Sikhism, Baba Guru Nanak, Dunya News reported.
The bus, having the facilities of a kitchen, dining table, washroom and bedroom, carrying eight Sikh pilgrims started its journey from the city of Brampton in Canada on September 10.
The bus travelled to the United Kingdom, crossed the Atlantic on a ship to Paris, and then travelled through Germany, Switzerland, Austria and Turkey before entering Pakistan via Iran.
The Sikh pilgrims welcomed the decision of opening Kartarpur Corridor and also thanked the government of Pakistan. The said that the people of Pakistan very warmly welcomed them which shows the love for Sikh community.
