Schools shut as toxic smog chokes Lahore

LAHORE (Dunya News) – Toxic smog forced government and private schools remain closed Thursday, as authorities struggle to manage a pollution crisis that has stirred widespread health fears.
The decision has been taken keeping in view the worst smog. The provincial capital has been shrouded in murky haze for the last couple of days.
A notification has been issued by the Education department.
On the other hand, Punjab Chief Minister Sardar Usman Buzdar expressed concern over increase is smog and directed the district administration, environment department and concerned department to remain alert.
Punjab Smog Committee Convener Director Environment Naseem-ur-Rehman said India responsible for the smog.
