Nawaz Sharif refuses to leave hospital, waits for Maryam's release

Former prime minister Nawaz Sharif has been discharged from the Services Hospital.

LAHORE (Dunya News) - Former Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif has refused to leave the hospital amidst unprecedented delay in the release of Maryam Nawaz despite the approval of her bail.

Nawaz Sharif‘s personal physician Dr Adnan took to Twitter and expressed, “Amidst unprecedented and unusual delay in Maryam Nawaz’s release, former PM Nawaz Sharif refused to leave hospital without Maryam.”

Dr Adnan tweeted that all arrangements had been made to transfer Nawaz Sharif to Sharif Medical City Hospital, but he waited all day for the release order of Maryam.


Nawaz Sharif discharged from Services Hospital


Former prime minister Nawaz Sharif has been discharged from the Services Hospital where he was under treatment for past two weeks, according to hospital sources.

According to Dunya News sources, a discharge slip was made with the consent of the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) president. However, he is waiting for his Maryam Nawaz’s robkar.

According to hospital sources, Nawaz Sharif is still in the VVIP room after being discharged. In this regard, security is on high alert and all arrangements have been completed.

An ambulance reached Services Hospital to shift Nawaz Sharif to Sharif Medical City Hospital after a medical check-up was done which showed that his platelets count has dropped to 30,000.

Leader of the Opposition and PML-N president Shehbaz Sharif had also arrived to review the arrangements for Nawaz.

According to Dunya News, the medical board has allowed Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) supremo to walk and exercise for a limited time.

On the other hand, medical board at Services Hospital on Tuesday has suggested to carry out genetic test of ex-prime minister Nawaz Sharif to diagnose his illness.

According to details, the former premier is under-treatment at Services Hospital for over 14 days.

Sources said that Nawaz Sharif’s genetic test can also be performed in Pakistan, however, the reports will be finalized within seven days after the test date.

They further told that Lahore’s Children Hospital officially sends samples to Germany for genetic test twice a year.

On Nov 4, ex-PM and Pakistan Muslim league-Nawaz (PML-N) supremo Nawaz Sharif’s platelets had dropped to around 40,000.

The medical board taking care of the erstwhile premier’s health had examined him and conducted further tests including the complete blood count (CBC).

More than 1.5 million rupees has been already spent in the last 14 days on the treatment of former premier Nawaz Sharif who is admitted in Services Hospital, according to sources.

According to sources, Nawaz Sharif is not currently being discharged from the hospital. According to Medical Board, the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) supremo can go if he wants to. Medical board sources told that Nawaz Sharif is being treated by specialized doctors at the Services Hospital and his health is improving.


Maryam Nawaz gets bail in Chaudhry Sugar Mills case


The Lahore High Court (LHC) has on Monday granted bail to Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) vice president Maryam Nawaz in Chaudhry Sugar Mills case, Dunya News reported.

A two-member bench headed by Justice Ali Baqar Najafi announced the verdict – reserved on October 31 – on Maryam Nawaz’s bail plea. The bail has been granted against two surety bonds worth 10 million apiece. The bench has directed Maryam Nawaz to submit her passport in the LHC.

The court order consisting of 24 pages also directed the PML-N leader to deposit 70 million separately with the court.

The detailed verdict stated that it has been agreed that Maryam Nawaz being a woman must be given bail as she neither remained absconder nor did she created hurdles in interrogation.
