Govt, Rehbar committee agree to continue talks, next meeting on Nov 5

ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) - The government’s negotiating committee led by Defence Minister Pervez Khattak met with the opposition’s Rehbar Committee at JUI-F chief Fazlur Rehman’s residence discuss the Azadi March of Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam (F).

Talking to the media after the meeting, head of the government committee expressed that they were successful in the first phase of dialogue. He added they heard the demands of Rehbar Committee whereas there will be another meeting at 3 pm on Tuesday. “We are hopeful for good results and thank Rehbar Committee for standing fast on the agreement”, he added.

Speaking on the occasion, the head of the opposition committee, Akram Durrani, said, “I welcome Pervez Khattak on the behalf of the Rehbar Committee. Today we have put our old demands before them. The government committee will meet again at my house tomorrow afternoon”.
