ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) - Internet service has been suspended in various places of Rawalpindi and Islamabad in the wake of the Jamiat Ulema-e Islam’s (F) Azadi March.
Complaints were being received from various places in Rawalpindi and Islamabad that wireless and mobile internet were not working while mobile service was functioning perfectly.
Islamabad administration and interior minister expressed ignorance over the suspension of internet services in the twin cities of Pakistan.
Deputy Commissioner of Islamabad Hamza Shafqaat said that the internet was working all fine. “It is not active just at the Peshawar Mor where the Azadi March is to be held”, he added.
On the other hand, Interior Minister Ijaz Shah was asked about suspended internet services during a press conference in the PID auditorium, to which he replied that the mobile network was not suspended anywhere.
