Sources told that reduction in platelets of a heart patient normally occurs due to medicine reaction

ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – Medical reports of former president Asif Ali Zardari, who has been undergoing treatment at PIMS Hospital, show that his platelets count has dropped to 90,000, while normal range is between 150,000 to 450,000.

PPP co-chairperson Asif Zardari was shifted to the hospital on 22nd October after his health deteriorated as the accountability court extended his judicial remand till November 12 in a case related to fake accounts.

Sources told that the reduction in platelets of a heart patient normally occurs due to medicine reaction. Zardari is also suffering from severe backache and neck strain, for which, doctors have started giving him sleeping pills.  He is also being given insulin and physiotherapy session on daily basis.

The National Accountability Bureau (NAB) had arrested the former president on June 10 after rejection of his pre-arrest bail by the Islamabad High Court in the fake bank accounts case. On Aug 16, the court had sent the former president to Adiala jail on judicial remand.
