Maryam Nawaz's bail plea in Chaudhry Sugar Mills case postponed till Monday.
LAHORE (Dunya News) – The Lahore High Court (LHC) on Friday postponed Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) vice president Maryam Nawaz’s bail plea in Chaudhry Sugar Mills case till Monday.
A two-member bench headed by Justice Ali Baqar Najafi conducted the hearing on plea seeking immediate release of Maryam Nawaz.
The court had inquired from the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) whether Maryam Nawaz is being allowed to meet her ailing father Nawaz Sharif. The anti-corruption watchdog sought time from the court to submit reply.
The LHC asked whether Nawaz Sharif and Maryam Nawaz’s names are on the Exit Control List. The federal government’s counsel told the court that the names of both leaders are on the ECL.
