Faisalabad: Power Looms Association announces strike against inflation, unnecessary taxes
Factory owners stated unfulfillment of the promises made by govt against price hike and taxes.
FAISLABAD (Dunya News) - A complete strike will be launched from October 16 against the increase in electricity prices and the unnecessary taxes until the approval of demands.
The Power Looms Association of the industrial city of Faisalabad is ready to take to the streets once again. Power looms owners will commence strike with a complete lockage of factories.
Factory owners expressed the government has made promises regarding hikes in electricity prices and the withdrawal of taxes, but no promises have come true.
Power Looms‘ owners will also record fierce protests by locking full factories in Jhang, Kamalia, Hafizabad, Gojra and Toba Tek Singh, including Faisalabad.
Owners asserted that the industry is being destroyed due to wrong policies of the authorities and the government is responsible for the deteriorating situation of the country.
