Different areas of Lahore were plunged into darkness after power supply was disrupted due to rain.
LAHORE (Dunya News) – Various localities of Lahore were plunged into darkness after power supply was disrupted due to heavy rain in the city on Thursday night, Dunya News reported.
At least 110 Lahore Electricity Supply Company (LESCO) feeders were tripped as heavy downpour lashed the metropolis which created problems for the citizens.
Various localities of the city including Karim Park, Badami Bagh, Bhati Gate, Shairanwala Gate, Shad Bagh, Amir Road, Chamra Mandi, Shahdara, Gulshan-e-Ravi, Samanabad and Chauburji were badly affected by the power outages.
However, Lahore Electricity Supply Company (LESCO) administration has restored the power supply in some areas after rain stopped while several localities in the city are still without electricity.
The heavy downpour also brought down temperature to a pleasant range but at the same time left several areas inundated. Majority of roads were submerged under rainwater which disrupted the traffic flow.
