ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – As Prime Minister Imran Khan returned to Pakistan after historic his address to the UN General Assembly, highlighting grave human rights violations in the Occupied Kashmir by Indian occupation forces, welcome home Prime Minister Imran Khan became top trend on the twitter.

The Prime Minister during his visit to New York met a number of world leaders and apprised them of the deteriorating human rights situation in Occupied Kashmir in the wake of the illegal and unilateral step taken by India.

In his address at the UN General Assembly, he drew the world attention towards the plight of Kashmiris urging the United Nations to play its due role, pressure India to lift the inhuman curfew imposed for over 50 days in Occupied Kashmir.

Soon after the prime minister landed in Islamabad, Twitter users took to the micro-blogging platform to say Welcome Back PM Imran Khan.

The twiteratis used the hashtags to praise PM Imran Khan for his historic address to the UN General Assembly, highlighting grave human rights violations in the Occupied Kashmir by Indian occupation forces.

Minister for Frontier Region and Narcotics Control Shehryar Khan Afridi took to the twitter and said: "Looking back at life, I wil proudly say that I was standing with @ImranKhanPTI. Tides were high, challenge was tough & so was our courage, so was our dream. We wanted Pak to rise and shine. IA we will ensure it. No compromise on dignity & pride of my Nation" 

Special Aide to the PM on Overseas Pakistanis Zulfi Bukhari said that the the hero of nation continues to receive a rightly deserved hero’s welcome. 

Minister for Railways Sheikh Rasheed Ahmed also welcome the prime minister.  

A female provincial assembly member of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) said that the Ambassador of Islam and Kashmir is coming home.
