Earthquake hits Azad Kashmir, parts of Pakistan.
MIRPUR (Dunya News) – An Earthquake has on Thursday again hit Azad Kashmir and other parts of Pakistan and triggered fear among the people, Dunya News reported.
According to details, the tremor struck Mirpur, Jhelum, Sargodha, Rawalakot, Narowal, Sangla Hill, Dina, Sheikhupura and other areas. People came out of their homes, offices, educational institutions and other buildings in panic.
The epicentre of the 4.7-magnitude tremor was 10 kilometres (seven miles) deep near Jhelum. 70 persons were injured in the incident.
It is worth mentioning here that at least 38 people lost their lives while 160 received severe and 360 sustained minor injuries in an earthquake that rattled Azad Kashmir on Tuesday.
The quake had completely damaged 270 houses whereas 2709 buildings were partially destroyed. The earthquake leveled homes and shops and split open roads in an area between the towns of Jhelum and Mirpur to the north, which is in Pakistan’s portion of Kashmir.
