Doctors protest over possible privatization of govt hospitals

Doctors have shut down hospitals in Lahore.

LAHORE (Dunya News) – The doctors associations have protested against the possible privatization of governmental hospitals. Emergency services in the hospitals are closed and the patients are facing difficulties.

As per details, doctors have shut down hospitals in Lahore. Ultrasound and other test facilities are closed in LGH whereas the staff is also missing.
The doctors have demanded to take back decision regarding privatization of government hospitals.

The doctors held a rally from LGH to mall road where their brief stay paralyzed the traffic situation. Nurses and other paramedical staff also accompanied the doctors.

In Faisalabad the grand alliance also protested against the privatization of hospitals. The protesting doctors threatened to surround Punjab Assembly against the Medical Teaching Institutions (MTI) Reform Act.

In KPK, the doctors boycott emergency and other services at Khyber Teaching Hospital. The doctors were of the view that this act would not be beneficial for the patients.
