Yasmin Rashid announces free medicines for cancer patients
She pledged that the Health Department would continue to supply medicines to cancer patients.
LAHORE (Dunya News) - Provincial Minister for Health Dr. Yasmin Rashid today (Sept. 19) has announced to provide free medicines to the cancer patients.
Yasmin Rashid has sought a report from the Health Department on this important issue and said that there would be no compromise in providing free medicines to the cancer patients.
Dr Yasmin Rashid issued immediate instructions to ensure free medicines to cancer patients. She pledged that the Health Department would continue to supply medicines to cancer patients across Punjab province.
Meanwhile, in the meeting of the Punjab Assembly, Speaker Chaudhry Pervaiz Elahi directed that a thorough investigation of cancer medicine should be carried out, on which Dr Yasmin Rashid said that the drug supply had not been stopped but the contract of the pharmaceutical company had been terminated.
