Real face of India was exposed in Geneva where 58 countries supported Pakistan on Kashmir, said FM.

MULTAN (Dunya News) - Foreign Minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi today (September 14) has said that Prime Minister Imran Khan‘s address on Kashmir at the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA) session will be of great importance.

While talking to media in Multan, he expressed that Kashmiris have been subjected to Indian atrocities in the occupied Kashmir as dirt gets thrown in the mouth of youth, children are getting brutally tortured and others are getting electrocuted in the occupied valley.

FM Qureshi asserted that the real face of India was exposed in Geneva where 58 countries supported Pakistan’s stance on Kashmir. He said that demonstrations are taking place in every capital of each country in the world. “Highlighted the matter around the world with diplomatic support,” he added.

Shah Mehmood Qureshi expressed that there has been a communication blackout in the Kashmir and the curfew on Kashmiris has entered 40th day. He continued saying that Indian troops attacked the Imam Bargahs in Muharram. “The problem has been increasing with each passing day and the matter should be resolved in accordance with UN resolutions”, he added.

He went on to say that the new generation of occupied Kashmir stood up against the Indian atrocities. The Organisation of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) also demanded to life the curfew in Kashmir. “Will continue the effort to raise global pressure on India,” he added.

Foreign Minister said everyone, including Amnesty International, is condemning Indian behavior. “Hindutva ideology is ruling India as we are trying to wake up the world on Kashmir issue”, he continued.

FM Qureshi asserted that the Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam-Fazl (JUI-F) Chief Maulana Fazlur Rehman should also play a role in resolving the Kashmir matter.

He added that firing on the Line of Control (LoC) is not happening for the first time and India has been given befitting responses. The statement of the Indian Army Chief is just hollow threats, he added.

He said that the people of the European Parliament, the US Congress are also talking about the Kashmir issue whereas Security Council discussed the Kashmir after 1965.

Meanwhile, Foreign Minister said that the Kartarpur transit route would be completed on November 11. The problem of Afghanistan will not be resolved through war but dialogues, he added. “With regard to Afghanistan, our efforts are underway, we want the talks to resume after a temporary hiatus,” expressed FM Qureshi.
