Pakistan's future is linked with the future of Karachi: PM Imran
Imran Khan said federal govt will play its every possible role for addressing issues of Karachi.
KARACHI (Dunya News) – Prime Minister Imran Khan on Sunday presided over a meeting to review Clean Karachi campaign and other developmental projects in Islamabad on Sunday.
The meeting was attended by Minister for Law Farogh Naseem, Federal Minister for Planning, Development and Reforms Khusro Bakhtiar, Federal Minister for Information Technology and Telecommunication Dr. Khalid Maqbool Siddiqui and Federal Minister for Maritime Affairs Syed Ali Hyder Zaidi.
Frontier Works Organization (FWO) Director General Major General Inaam Haider Malik briefed the meeting about the progress on Clean Karachi Campaign.
During the meeting, the prime minister said that Pakistan s future is linked with the future of Karachi as this city is our economic hub.
He said that federal government wants to address the problems of Karachi to ensure better facilities for the residents, adding that citizens of Karachi are facing the consequences of mismanagement.
Imran Khan went on to say that federal government will play its every possible role for addressing the issues of Karachi.
The prime minister also formed a high-level committee led by Law Minister Dr Farogh Naseem to prepare a short term, medium term, and long term strategy to solve problems being faced by the residents of Karachi.
