ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – The Special Assistant to the Prime Minister on Information and Broadcasting Dr Firdous Ashiq Awan on Tuesday stated if Modi regime did not abandon its policy of subjugation, then it would unfold severe dangers for the entire region.

In a series of tweets, she asserted that India should review its extremist behaviour.

“Kashmir is a disputed region and the dispute can only be resolved in the light of United Nations [Security Council] resolutions.”

Awan condemned India for prohibiting Muslims from performing their religious rituals on the occasion of Eid-ul-Azha and stated that such moves show “secular and democratic India has been killed by Modi.”

“Kashmir will certainly witness the dawn of freedom […] Kashmiris and Pakistanis share happiness and sorrow,” she said, adding: “No oppression, violence, curfew, arrests and prison can enslave Kashmiris […] preventing Kashmiris from performing their religious rituals on the day of Eid proves India’s oppressive occupation of Kashmir.”

Talking on another occasion, Firdous said Bilawal Bhutto must not link Kashmir cause with his family’s corruption. She said corruption stories are common in Sindh, adding that Bilawal must come out with a clear mind on 14th August to save people from corruption.

She said Bilawal should work to make Sindh an exemplary province. She said we need to unite on Kashmir issue and government would not let the issue to succumb to corruption.

PTI leader said government would stand by opposition on Kashmir cause, adding that government cannot relief anyone on corruption cases.
