Magnitude 4.9 earthquake jolts parts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa

PESHAWAR (Dunya News) - An earthquake measuring 4.9 on the Richter scale jolted Peshawar and other parts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa on Sunday, Dunya News reported.
According to details, tremors were felt in Peshawar, Nowshera, Swat, Abbottabad, Dir, Bonaire, Bisham and their adjoining areas.
People came out of their homes in panic and started reciting verses from the Holy Quran. No loss of life and property was reported from any area of Swat due to earthquake.
According to National Seismic Monitoring Centre, Islamabad, the epicenter of the quake which struck on Sundayday was located in the Hindu Kush range in Afghanistan at the depth of 219 kilometers.
