PM Imran chairs high-level meeting to review outcome of US visit

PM Imran acknowledged US Presidents vision for peace in the region and Pak-US bilateral relations.

ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – Prime Minister Imran Khan on Thursday presided over a high-level meeting in Islamabad to review outcome of PM’s visit to USA and summit meet.

The meeting was attended by Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Qamar Javed Bajwa, Inter-Services Intelligence (ISI) Director General Lieutenant General Faiz Hameed, Director-General Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) Major General Asif Ghafoor, Foreign Minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi, Minister for Maritime Affairs Syed Ali Zaidi and other cabinet members were present at the occasion.

Special Assistant to Prime Minister on Overseas Pakistanis Syed Zulfiqar Abbas Bukhari also attended the meeting.

During the meeting, matters pertaining to the prime minister’s US visit came under discussion.

PM Imran while expressing satisfaction over his US visit, acknowledged US President Donald Trump’s vision for peace in the region and Pak-US bilateral relations.

The prime minister said that he is convinced that a robust bilateral Pak-US relationship is not only a desire of US and Pakistan’s leadership but it will also add to regional peace and stability.

The meeting also discussed measures to carry forward the decisions of the visit to execution phase staying in close coordination with US authorities including visit to Pakistan by President Trump.
