Bilawal maintained that his party would not compromise on the 18th amendment.

ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari said on Monday that the opposition members were being arrested on the basis of false cases; however these cases were “not a new issue.”

In his talk to the media, he said: “We don’t accept this selected government and system…we had fought in the dictatorship of Ayub Khan, Zia-ul-Haq and Musharraf.”

“We will expose this puppet [government] in front of the general public…ideology is not considered in Pakistan.”

The PPP leader asserted that during the tenure of the PPP, no [political leader] had been detained and the party had not ordered to arrest anyone.

“We have not taken revenge from PTI’s MNA Alamgir Khan, but [Pakistan] Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) members don’t respect anyone and disrespected police officers,” he said.

“What would happen to Prime Minister Imran Khan, if Maulana [Fazul-Rehman] comes into power?”

Bilawal maintained that his party would not compromise on the 18th amendment.

“[Besides the joint opposition], PPP and other political parties have been protesting on their own…and massive rallies were carried out in the month of July,” he stated, adding that facing [cases] in the courts was not something new for the party and would be proven unguilty.
