Attempts to isolate Pakistan have failed: Dr Firdous
Meeting between PM Imran and US President will have positive effect on the situation in the region.
KARACHI (Dunya News) – Special Assistant to the Prime Minister on Information and Broadcasting Dr. Firdous Ashiq Awan on Monday said that the meeting between Prime Minister Imran Khan and US President Donald Trump will have a deep and positive effect on the situation in the region.
Talking to media in Karachi on Monday, she said that PM Imran Khan will effectively present Pakistan‘s narrative at international level during his visit to the United States.
The special assistant said the prime minster will present Pakistan‘s narrative and the country‘s real face to the international community during his today s scheduled meeting with US President Donald Trump in Washington.
Dr Firdous went on to say that the attempts to isolate Pakistan in the region are failing with the ongoing successful visit of the prime minister.
She said that Pakistani diaspora in a large number expressed confidence in the narrative of Pakistan and the Prime Minister during his address to the Pakistani community in Washington last day, adding that the visit will prove useful in getting the world recognized Pakistan s sacrifices in the war on terror.
Earlier, she took to Twitter, and stated that had termed what she called “the historic gathering for Prime Minister Imran Khan in the United States” as the proof of premier’s popularity.
She said that PM Khan has always proved his opponents and critics ‘false’ through strong determination and struggle.
“Pakistani expatriate community in the US has made history by according a historic welcome to Imran Khan [at Capitol One Arena in Washington],” she said.
“The PM presented the vision of Naya Pakistan in front of the Pakistanis there and the concept of establishing a state on the foundation of Riyasat-e-Madina where the rulers are answerable [for their acts]...to get rid the country of the curse of corruption and where the state spends on poor and needy,” she added.
“Imran Khan is the identity of Pakistan across the world,” she concluded.
