Sharifs suffering due to Maryam's folly: Dr Firdous

SIALKOT (Dunya News) – Special Assistant to Prime Minister on Information and Broadcasting Dr Firdous Ashiq Awan on Sunday said that Sharif family had to suffer due to the folly of Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) vice president Maryam Nawaz.
Addressing a press conference in Sialkot on Sunday, she said that the PML-N vice president had distorted the facts yesterday, adding that Maryam Nawaz has done degree in lying.
Dr Firdous said that Maryam Nawaz in her tweet yesterday said that Prime Minister Imran Khan left for America along with the Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Qamar Javed Bajwa, adding that she might have forgotten that General Qamar Javed Bajwa had accompanied Shahid Khaqan Abbasi on his visit to Saudi Arabia few months ago.
She went on to say that former prime minister and PML-N supremo Nawaz Sharif was accompanied by then army chief General Raheel Sharif on his Saudi Arabia visit, while General Kiyani accompanied Yousaf Raza Gillani on his US visit.
The special assistant said: “No one can raise finger on PM Imran as he recognized as a hero in the entire world, adding that the prime minister will fight the case for Pakistani people in the US.”

She said that peaceful holding of elections in erstwhile FATA indicates that when nation is determined and led by a strong leadership, challenges are transformed into positive opportunities, adding that 220 million valiant people of Pakistan have defeated the scourge of terrorism with their patience, fortitude and bravery.
The special assistant while praising the role of Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) for making smooth arrangements of elections said that democratic process resulted in victory of Pakistan.
She said two leading opposition parties of the country have been rejected by people of tribal areas. The Special Assistant said it is a manifestation that people of Pakistan will always standby the country and its national interest.
Referring to visit of the prime minister to the US, she said a glaring example of austerity has been set by Imran Khan who travelled by commercial flight during this visit to save the public money.
She said the premier opted to stay at Pakistan House in Washington and set a unique example of simplicity.
Dr Awan went on to say that the people of Pakistan standby their leader Imran Khan to further strengthen the institutions of Pakistan.
She said Prime Minister Imran Khan was warmly welcomed by US based Pakistanis on the streets of Washington, adding that Imran Khan s visit will also strengthen the key bond between Pakistan and its diaspora abroad.
The visit will also help garner support for bringing investment into the country. The prime minister will also portray the image of an enlightened, progressive and forward looking country. He will market soft face of the country before the world community.
Earlier in her tweets, she said congratulated the nation on holding peaceful and successful elections in ex-FATA.
Awan termed the polls as important progress towards the stability of ‘Naya Pakistan’. The people of tribal areas are getting reward of their patience in the form of constitutional and democratic rights, she added.
The special assistant said that the tribal locals have rejected the ‘so-called guarantors’ of their rights. Those spitting venom against Imran Khan didn’t bother to say a single word in support of this latest development, she went on to say.
Firdous added that the meaning of democracy for such leaders is only to gain personal interests. She also lauded the sacrifices of armed forces and civil institutions to restore peace and order in the area.
