(Web Desk) – The premier Imran Khan has been riding high on the horse of popularity throughout his cricketing career and still as a politician has proven time and time again that he lives in the hearts of people whether in the country or elsewhere around the globe.

Once more he has taken on the rest and has featured amongst the World most admires people list of the year 2019. It’s an annual survey carried out by YouGov in 41 countries globally. According to the list the Legend cricketer and now the Prime Minister of Pakistan is ranked 17th amongst the list of figures that are admired and looked up to in the male category.

Another admired figure that made it to the female list from Pakistan is the Nobel Prize laureate Malala YousafZai, who is known for her activism and her work for female education and is ranked 6th amongst the females.

The list this year was based on online interviews of 42000 people across 41 countries. The question posed at the sample population in December by YouGov, to get open-ended nominations from panelists across 41 countries was:

‘Thinking about people alive in the world today, which [man or woman] do you most admire?’

From these nominations a list of 20 male and female most admired persons was established based on who was most nominated and that too from at least four countries. An additional 10 popular local figures were added to the lists for individual countries.

In January the lists were used to poll each of the 41 countries with two questions:

1. ‘Who do you truly admire?’( where respondents could make multiple selections).

2. ‘Who do you MOST admire? (where they could only pick one).

These two numbers were combined into a percentage share of admiration, displayed to the right of each name in the graphic above and table below, which shows the full results for every country including local celebrities and public figures:
