PESHAWAR (Dunya News) – Advisor to Chief Minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa on tribal areas Ajmal wazir said the elections in merged areas would be made free and fair. He said situation of law and order is better in tribal districts now.
Addressing to media in Peshawar press club, he said for the first time people from tribal districts have been given ownership. He said whoever wins elections from merged areas would be given a chance to represent his people.
Wazir further said heath card facility is being extended to tribal districts and government would soon provide health card facilities on CNIC. He said provincial government has zero percent intervention in tribal districts, adding that 28000 Levis personnel have been added to police.
The Advisor said there is no issue of security in merged areas and the decision about presence of security forces inside polling stations remains in the hands of Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP).
He said Rs 162 billion have been allocated for tribal districts, adding that giving rights to deprived areas remains PM Imran Khan’s priority. He said local government elections would be conducted in tribal areas like KPK.
