Mirpur Mathelo: Five of a family drowned as motorcycle falls into canal
No dead body was retrieved from the canal as darkness hindered rescue operation.
MIRPUR MATHELO (Dunya News) – Five members of the same family were drowned when the motorcycle they were riding on fell into Masu Vah Canal near Mirpur Mathelo in Sindh province on Thursday night, Dunya News reported.
According to initial reports, five members of a Hindu family including Amar Lal, his wife Kavita, his two children and sister-in-law Sanjna Bai were going on a motorcycle when it fell into canal.
Residents of the area with the help of divers started rescue operation to retrieve the drowned person on self help basis as local administration failed to send rescue teams.
No dead body was retrieved from the canal as darkness hindered rescue operation.
