Ashiyana Housing Reference: Shahbaz appears before court, more witnesses to appear on July 13
Stringent security measures had been taken on the occasion of Shahbaz Sharifs appearance
LAHORE (Dunya News) – An accountability court on Monday summoned more witnesses in case pertaining to Ashiyana Housing Scheme Reference against Leader of Opposition in National Assembly and Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) president Shahbaz Sharif on July 13.
Accountability Court judge Naeem Arshad took up the Ashiyana Housing Scheme case.
During the proceedings, PML-N president Shahbaz Sharif appeared before the court, while five other accused including former principal secretary to prime minister Fawad Hassan Fawad and Lahore Development Authority s (LDA) former director general Ahad Khan Cheema were also presented before the court.
The National Accountability Bureau (NAB) presented its three witnesses in the court.
The leader of opposition appealed the court to allow him to leave due to his backache. The court allowed Sharif to leave after recording the statement of one witness.
The court recorded the statement of three witnesses in the presence of the accused and also summoned more witnesses in the court on next hearing on July 13.
