Illegal occupation of state land: ACE lodges case against PML-N Ehsanul Haq Bajwa

CHISHTIAN (Dunya News) – The Anti-Corruption Establishment (ACE) – following a joint operation with the Bahawalnagar district administration in Chishtian to recover state land from illegal occupants – has registered a corruption case against 17 individuals, including Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) lawmaker Ehsanul Haq Bajwa.

According to details, the accused persons had allegedly occupied the state land in collusion with officials of the Irrigation and Revenue departments, and caused a loss of millions of rupees to the national exchequer.

A couple of days ago, the deputy commissioner of Bahawalnagar district directed to recover the land and retrieved 1,400-acre of land and handed it over to the Irrigation department.

The ACE has been investigation into the matter, and it has been disclosed that the accused persons had been farming on the land for a long period.

Meanwhile, the PML-N MNA has already fled to Dubai; however ACE officials have been raiding hideouts of other accused persons to arrest them.
