No one is above the law in Naya Pakistan: Firdous Ashiq Awan
Firdous Ashiq Awan said Rana Sanaullahs arrest could not be termed as political victimization.
ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) - Special Assistant to the Prime Minister on Information and Broadcasting Firdous Ashiq Awan in a statement on Monday said that no one is above the law and constitution in Naya Pakistan, Dunya News reported.
She said that Pakistan Muslim League- Nawaz (PML-N) leader and former Punjab law minister Rana Sanaullah was arrested by Anti Narcotics Force (ANF) on receiving authentic information as 15 kilogram Heroin worth Rs 150 to 120 million was recovered from the vehicle of the PML-N leader.
Dr Firdous Ashiq Awan said that ANF was an independent institution and the government had nothing to do with the arrest of PML-N leader Rana Sanaullah. She further said that Rana Sanaullah’s arrest could not be termed as political victimization
She said that Rana Sanaullah would be presented before the relevant court in Lahore.
