Armed persons kidnap, free former PML-N MPA Mian Tariq
The kidnappers brutally tortured Mian Tariq and also shaved his head.
GUJRAT (Dunya News) – Mian Tariq Mahmood, former Pakistan Muslim League (PML-N) MPA from Punjab Assembly constituency PP-33 Gujrat, was kidnapped by some armed persons belonging to his political opponents on Monday and set free after subjecting him to brutal torture, Dunya News reported.
According to details, Mian Tariq Mahmood was going to participate in an inauguration ceremony when some armed persons opened fire at his vehicle, injuring his driver Naeem and kidnapping him. The incident occurred in the jurisdiction of Kunjah Police Station.
The kidnappers took Mian Tariq to some unknown place where they brutally tortured him and also shaved his head. The kidnappers also threatened to throw him into canal. Afterwards, the kidnappers left him on the bank of canal in injured condition and fled away.
Mian Tariq Mahmood was shifted to Govt Aziz Bhatti Shaheed Hospital. Mian Tariq said that his political opponents from Tehreek-e-Labbaik Pakistan, Ijaz Ranian brothers, were behind this incident.
PML-N leaders MNA Chaudhry Abid Raza, former adviser to CM Punjab Nawabzada Tahir-ul-Mulk, former MPA Nawabzada Haider Mehdi reached the hospital and inquired about his health.
