Two killed, 48 injured in rain-related incidents in Gojra
Emergency has been declared at the Tehsil Headquarters Hospital to deal the situation.
GOJRA (Dunya News) – At least two persons, including a minor girl, were killed when heavy rain accompanied by wind storm lashed various chaks and villages in Gojra district in Punjab province on Friday, Dunya News reported.
According to detail, seven-year old Zeenat and 35-year-old Nasir were killed in roof collapse incidents in Chak 431-G Bhuwana while another person got wounded. Roof collapse in Chak 435-GB injured 24-year-old Razia Bibi.
Eight members of the same family were wounded when roof of a house collapsed in Chak 427-GB. Separately, six persons were wounded in rain related incidents in Chak 99-GB while two other persons were wounded elsewhere.
Meanwhile, emergency has been declared at the Tehsil Headquarters Hospital to deal the situation. According to MS Tehsil Headquarters Hospital Shahab Alam, all doctors have been summoned for emergency duty.
