Opposition rejects increase in NAB's budget
Fifteen motions were submitted in the National Assembly by the opposition members.
ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – Opposition parties have rejected increase in the budget of National Accountability Bureau (NAB) and submitted motions in the National Assembly in this regard.
According to sources, members belonging to PPP, PML-N and MMA submitted fifteen motions in the National Assembly, stating that NAB budget is a burden on the economy so it should not be increased. They also demanded to abolish NAB’s operational and development budget.
The motion further stated that NAB has failed to provide accountability without any discrimination. It said an addition of Rs 3 billion in its budget is tantamount to favoring the institution.

Those who submitted motions include Rana Sanaullah, Nafeesa Shah, Yousaf Talpur, Zahid Akram Durrani, Moulana Akbar Chitrali, Shazia Marri, Mehreen Bhutto, Rana Shamim and Murtaza Javed Abbasi.
