Punjab home department bans collecting charity from organizations, NGOs
Many fraudulent NGOs and associations have been collecting millions of rupees monthly.
LAHORE (Dunya News) – Punjab Home Department has decided on Friday under National Action Plan (NAP) to ban collection of charity from any sort of organization or Non-Governmental organization (NGO).
According to the details, it was decided in the meeting of Interior Ministry which has called restrictions on collecting charity or Zakat without permission.
According to sources, permission has been made compulsory to collect the Zakat. The step was taken after unlisted organizations tricked into getting more collection by altering their name repeatedly.
