Nankana Sahib: Armed clash at DHQ Hospital leaves four dead

Rescue teams shifted the injured to hospitals in Lahore and Faisalabad.

NANKANA SAHIB (Dunya News) – At least four people were killed and five others were wounded in exchange of fire between two rival groups at the District Headquarters (DHQ) Hospital, Nankana Sahib on Monday, Dunya News reported.

According to details, Tanveer Arain group and Faisal Jatt group of village Baga Chak clashed with each other during a marriage ceremony in the village in which few people from each group got injured. One group reached DHQ Hospital to get medical report. Othe group followed then to hospital and an exchange of fire took place at the emergency ward of the District Headquarters Hospital in which four people were killed and five others sustained injuries.

A heavy contingent of police reached the hospital after the incident and started investigation.

According to police, the deceased were identified as Chaudhry Tanveer, Abdul Wahid, Abdul Qadir and Muhammad Yousuf. The injured included Faisal Jatt, Usama Javed, Abid, Nadeem and Nasir Ahmed.
