Opposition doing politics to hinder path of constitution: Dr Firdous
Budget is prepared for Pakistan and its people, Dr Firdous said.
ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – Special Assistant to Prime Minister on Information and Broadcasting Dr. Firdous Ashiq Awan on Monday said that governance and working of institutions are linked with budget approval.
In a tweet, Dr Firdous said that opposition is doing politics on budget and hindering the path of constitution. Budget is prepared for Pakistan and its people, she added.
The special assistant said that proceedings in parliament and opposition leaders’ salaries can also be ensured after approval of the budget. Those who have destroyed economy now want to harm people, she continued.
Earlier, in an interview, Dr Firdous said that both Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) and Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) are responsible for the problems being faced by the country and its citizens today.
It is our desire to engage with the opposition and steer the country out of challenges, she expressed.
The leader further said that Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) government will get the federal budget 2019-20 passed on the basis of its numerical majority in the National Assembly.
