The one who challenged the appointment should also have its copy, the PML-N lawyer responded.

Subsequently, ECP directed PTI lawyer to provide the required documents to the defence lawyer and adjourned the hearing till June 25.

Talking to media in Islamabad, Parliamentary Secretary for Law Maleeka Bukhari said defence counsel took a U-Turn before election commission when he said that Maryam Nawaz is not vice president of PML –N.

Earlier on June 9, PTI had challenged Maryam Nawaz’s appointment as party vice president in ECP.

PTI adopted the stance that Maryam Nawaz was ineligible to hold any political or public office as she was sentenced by the court in corruption reference.

Appointment of ex-PM Nawaz Sharif’s daughter Maryam as party vice president was contradictory to the constitution and law, the plea stated.
