LAHORE (Dunya News) - Maryam Nawaz, the daughter of incarcerated former premier Nawaz Sharif and a vice-president of PML-N accused that PM Imran Khan came into power because of conspiracies rather than getting votes. She claimed that government cannot run a single day if Nawaz Sharif was out of jail.
Maryam was addressing a gathering in Lahore to mark Youm-e-Takbeer, when Pakistan conducted nuclear tests on May 28, 1998.
The leader of PML-N lashed out the government for being coming into power by unfair means. She said the whole Pakistan knows who was a brave leader, adding that Nawaz made country’s defense invincible by conducting 6 nuclear tests.
Maryam Nawaz said the person who laid the foundations of nuclear test was hanged while the person who conducted atomic test was thrown into jail. She said Nawaz Sharif rejected $5 billion offer for putting the nuclear tests on halt.
Maryam asserted that PM Imran Khan is a puppet leader and no one in the world respects him. She added that PM Imran has given the whole country into hands of IMF.
She said stock market was much better in the government of Nawaz Sharif, adding that one has to stand now in long lines to buy one Kg of sugar.
She further said no one is demanding NRO from PM Imran Khan and the government must face Maryam Nawaz and Hamza Shehbaz in the field instead of courts.
