Uzbek deputy PM calls on COAS, discusses bilateral interests, regional security
The visiting dignitary appreciated the role of Pakistan Army in battling the scourge of terrorism
RAWALPINDI (Dunya News) – Uzbekistan’s Deputy Prime Minister Elyor Ganiev on Monday called on Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Qamar Javed Bajwa at GHQ.
In a statement issued by the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), matters pertaining to bilateral interests, regional security and connectivity came under discussion during the meeting.
Speaking on the occasion, the COAS while welcoming the visiting dignitary to Pakistan said that Uzbekistan was a brotherly country and cooperation between both would not only help in improving peace and stability in the region, but also usher in economic prosperity as well.
The visiting dignitary appreciated the role of Pakistan Army in battling the scourge of terrorism in the country and for maintenance of peace and stability in the region.
