Kamyab Jawan Program gets cabinet's nod
Under the program, a youth can get loan from 100,000 to five million rupees in two categories.
ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – Federal Cabinet on Tuesday approved Kamyab Jawan Program to economically empower youth.
The federal cabinet in its meeting presided over by Prime Minister Imran Khan in Islamabad gave the approval.
Under the program, a youth can get loan from 100,000 to five million rupees in two categories.
Under the first category banks will provide loan upto 500,000 rupees at six percent mark-up with lending equity of 10 percent of the amount applied.
Under the second category, an applicant can get loan up to five million rupees at a mark-up of eight percent and equity ratio of 20 percent, she added.
As many as 25 percent of the loan will be granted to women to make youth self-employee to overcome inflation and joblessness.
PM approves Kamyab Jawan Program
On May 16, Prime Minister Imran Khan had principally approved ‘Prime Minister’s Kamyab Jawan program’ to empower country’s youth through multiple institutional mechanisms like national youth council, employment database and exchange platform besides business loans and internship programmes.
Kamyab Jawan Program would encompass multiple programs aimed at creating education and job opportunities and skills development to utilize youth’s capabilities constructively.
Among the programs to be initiated under Kamyab Jawan Program included Youth Economic Development Empowerment Program, PM Green Youth Movement, PM Startup Pakistan, Internship Program, Hunermand Program and Kamyab Jawan Employment Exchange Program.
