KCR project could be revived by the joint working of Pakistan Railways and Sindh government: Minister
ISLAMABAD (APP) - Federal Minister for Railways Sheikh Rashid Ahmed Monday chaired a meeting regarding operationalization of Karachi Circular Railway (KCR) at City Station Karachi.
The meeting was attended by Mayor Karachi Waseem Akhtar, Chief Secretary Sindh Syed Mumtaz Ali Shah and the stakeholders involved in the KCR project. The minister was briefed about the history and current status of the KCR project, said a press release received here.
The minister said that the highly valued directives of the apex court on KCR project would be implemented in true letter and spirit. He added that the KCR project could be revived by joint working of Pakistan Railways and Sindh government.
He further said that KCR project was a part of CPEC and also expressed his upbeat regarding early recrudescence of this project. The minister also visited the KCR route.
