Customs officials recovered 239 mobile phones from the luggage of a passenger returning from Sharjah

KARACHI (Dunya News) – Customs officials on Sunday in two separate operations at the Karachi Airport and foiled bids to smuggle mobile phones and gold, Dunya News reported.

According to details, Customs officials recovered 239 mobile phones, batteries, covers and other items worth 3.5 million from the luggage of a passenger returning from Sharjah.

In a separate operation, Customs officials recovered 10 tolas of gold from a passenger. According to Customs officials, the passenger was trying to smuggle gold to Bangladesh via Bangkok.
