Won't let you run the House, Kh Asif tells NA speaker
Asad Qaiser said that such behaviour did not suit you
ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – Former defence minister and Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) parliamentarian Khawaja Asif on Thursday during National Assembly session became incensed when Speaker Asad Qaiser opened the mic for federal minister for communication and postal services Muraad Saeed to address session.
According to details, the PML-N leader along with other opposition members, reacting over speaker s this action, surrounded the speaker and lodged a strong protest during Muraad Saeed s speech.
"I can t be dictated over house proceeding, so, don t try to pressurise me this way," speaker National Assembly Asad Qaiser said. "After the federal minister for communication and postal service s address, I will give chance to Kh Asif; but can t tolerate such tactics."
However, current Defence Minister Pervaiz Khattak tried to calm down the former defence minister but he [Kh Asif] refused [...]; and said while refusing the speaker s directions to go back to his seat that we would not let you [Mr Speaker] run the house if our demands are not fulfilled.
Responding to Kh Asif s action, Asad Qaiser said that such behaviour did not suit you and adjourned the parliament session for prayer break.
