KARACHI (Dunya News) – The National Accountability Bureau (NAB) Karachi has completed its probe against Sindh Assembly Speaker Agha Siraj Durrani in the assets beyond means case and recommendations to file a corruption reference have been sent to headquarters.

NAB also recommended filing supplementary references against Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) leader Kamran Michael and an inquiry to be launched Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) corruption case.

The accountability watchdog after completing the initial probe finalized the mega corruption cases against Sindh Assembly Speaker Agha Siraj Durrani, former federal minister Kamran Michael and PIA.

According to NAB, Agha Siraj made assets of worth Rs1.6 billion in the name of relatives and servants. It has been revealed that an embezzlement was done in Hamir Associates and Roomi housing project. Company never allotted plots to 104 individuals since 1979, said NAB.

Kamaran Michel was involved in Rs110 million embezzlement. PIA administration inflicted millions loss to national exchequer by grounding ATR planes illegally. PIA instead of repairing the plans made an illegal agreement with private logistics company.
