Lahore: Rickshaw drivers protest for not allowing to enter Canal Road

The drivers blocked the road in Mughalpura by parking their rickshaws.

LAHORE (Dunya News) – Motorcycle rickshaw drivers on Monday staged protest for not allowing to enter the Canal Road in Lahore.

According to details, the drivers blocked the road in Mughalpura by parking their rickshaws and chanted slogans against the local administration.



Meanwhile, harsh words were also exchanged between the protesters and traffic police.

Earlier, the provincial government had decided to ban entry of rickshaws on Lahore’s Mall Road to control increasing traffic-related issues.

The order will be implemented from May 1 as per which, the rickshaws will not be allowed to move on Mall Road from 7:00am to 7:00pm.

It is to be mentioned here that motorcycle rickshaws were already banned in the area.
