COAS visits AK Regimental Center, installs Lt Gen Sher Afghan as Col Commandant

RAWALPINDI (Dunya News) – Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Qamar Javaed Bajwa on Thursday visited Azad Kashmir Regimental Centre on Thursday.

In a statement issued by the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), the COAS hailed sacrifices of the regiment for the defence of the homeland.

Gen Qamar Javed Bajwa laid floral wreath at the Yadgar-e-Shuhada during the visit.

Rawalpindi Corps Commander Lieutenant General Bilal Akbar also accompanied the COAS during the visit.

The COAS pinned the badges of rank on Lieutenant General Sher Afghan to install him as Colonel Commandant of the AK Regiment.

The ceremony was attended by the serving and retired army officials.
