Disqualification sword hangs over three female PTI MNAs
The counsel accused three female PTI MNAs of having dual nationality
ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – Islamabad High Court (IHC) on Thursday issued notices to three female Members National Assembly (MNA) of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) in case pertaining to dual nationality.
The IHC took up the plea of Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) MNAs.
During the proceedings, the counsel of the applicant was of the view that PTI MNAs Malayka Bukhari, Tashfeen Safdar and Kanwal Showzeb are dual nationals.
The petitioner stated that all three PTI leaders have lied to the apex court.
The petitioner prayed the court to disqualify the MNAs under Article 62 and 63 of the constitution.
The court while issuing notices to PTI MNAs summoned their replies in a week.
