Summary The act of closing the roads around Lahore Liberty Parking Plaza was challenged in the LHC.
A lawyer, Azhar Sidique, filed a petition in the Lahore High Court, maintaining that the parking plaza was built illegally and the roads surrounding the plaza were also closed for the public.The petitioner said that it was the violation of human rights and the court should issue a stay order against the closure of roads. The court remarked that people could not be denied to use roads. Seeking a reply from the Punjab government, the court adjourned the hearing till May 9.
